Drought Resistant Rock Garden

This project is an example of dynamic design

Client Preferences:

Process:

1.  Generated a base map with concept

Walked around the neighborhood to look at gardens she liked – looked at plants that were of interest

2.  Generated a plant list to see clients taste

2a.  Drove to rock yard to select stone with client

3.  Spray painted features on grass

4.  Removed turf –

5.  Installed flagstone, river rock areas creating planting bed zones

6.  Purchased plants based on selections

7.  Planted

8.  Mulched

preferred black mulch – stood out vs. stone work

It is a good option for those who do not like the aesthetics of natural cedar mulch but wish to benefit
